Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Deepify VL
Getting Started
Deepify VL is an AI-powered platform that generates educational videos from any topic or question. Type what you want to learn about, and our AI creates a narrated, animated video with subtitles, ready to watch in minutes.
Simply type a topic (like "How black holes work") or a math problem into the text box and click Generate. Our AI classifies your input, writes a structured script, renders animated scenes, generates narration, and composites everything into a polished video.
You can browse the Explore page without an account. To generate your own videos, sign in with Google and subscribe to a Pro or Power plan. Signing in also lets you save videos to your library and create private share links.
We offer a free Explore experience to browse and watch community videos. To generate your own videos, you'll need a Pro ($4.99/mo) or Power ($14.99/mo) subscription. Check our Pricing page for full details.
Video Creation
There are two formats, both in 16:9 landscape. Short (around 30 seconds) is the default and is great for a single concept or a quick visual. Long (around 2 minutes) is a fuller explainer that develops an idea across several steps. These lengths are guidelines, so a video can run a little longer when the topic needs it.
A Short usually generates in about 3 to 7 minutes, and a Long video in about 7 to 10 minutes. You'll see live progress while it renders, and it's safe to leave the page; your finished video appears in your Library when it's ready.
Deepify VL excels at STEM topics like mathematics, physics, computer science, biology, chemistry, and engineering. It also handles history, economics, and general knowledge well. Try topics like "How neural networks learn" or "The Fibonacci sequence in nature".
Yes! Under the Options menu, you can select Gemini Flash (fastest, great for quick topics) or Gemini Pro (highest quality, best for complex subjects). Both produce excellent structured scripts with different speed/quality tradeoffs.
We offer three styles: Classic (dark backgrounds with clean, animated visuals), Whiteboard (hand-drawn marker style), and Minimal (clean, flat, modern design). Choose the one that fits your content best.
Yes. We offer natural-sounding voices including Ava (Natural Female), Andrew (Natural Male), Emma (Conversational Female), and Brian (Casual Male), plus classic voices like Sonia and Ryan. Select your preferred voice under Options before generating.
Audience Levels
The Audience selector on the generate form lets you choose who the narration is written for. The default, Adult, keeps the narration exactly as it has always been. The other levels rewrite the narration register for younger viewers: Explain like I'm 5 for the very youngest, then Key Stages 1 to 5 matching the stages of school. The visuals and animations stay the same quality; only the way the narrator explains things changes.
Key Stages are the stages of the school curriculum in England. Key Stage 1 covers ages 5 to 7, Key Stage 2 ages 7 to 11, Key Stage 3 ages 11 to 14, and Key Stage 4 ages 14 to 16, when students take GCSEs. Key Stage 5 is the common name for sixth form, ages 16 to 18, when students take A levels. Pick the stage your viewer is in and the narration will match what they are learning at school.
Teacher feedback: one register cannot serve everyone from age 5 to adult, and our default narration was pitched too high for younger viewers. Each level follows what the English national curriculum says a child of that age has actually been taught, covering vocabulary, how abstract the ideas can be, and which maths concepts are fair game. For example, percentages and ratio only appear from upper Key Stage 2 onwards, because that is when schools introduce them.
Explain like I'm 5 is playful and analogy-first, written for a child who cannot read yet: everyday words, one idea at a time, and everything compared to familiar things like toys and animals. Key Stage 1 follows the Year 1 to 2 curriculum register: still simple and concrete, but new words are named and explained, matching how children are taught at school.
Not yet. The narration, voice and visuals are composed together when the video is generated, so to hear a topic at a different level, generate a new video with the level you want. Your original video stays in your Library.
Key Stages are specific to England (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland structure school differently), so just pick by the age ranges shown in brackets, for example Key Stage 2 for ages 7 to 11. The narration is calibrated to the age, not to any particular exam system.

If generation fails, you'll see an error message with details. The credit is not consumed on failure. Common causes: very long or ambiguous prompts, or temporary server load. Try rephrasing your topic or generating again.
